 er/percussionist Anthony Taddeo\, inspired by Alan Lomax’s 1954 Smithson
 ian Folkways field recordings of nearly extinct regional Italian folk tune
 s. Using those recording as a baseline\, he enlisted a group of other outs

 ung area musicians to give the music a contemporary twist\, drawing on jaz
 z\, rock and world music. They’ve now put out two albums with a third in
  the works\, and have been branching out beyond the greater Cleveland area
 .\n\nLast December\, Alla Boara played a concert at Trinity Cathedral in d
 owntown Cleveland with a holiday theme. They’re now returning to Trinity
  for a non-holiday show described as “another rousing evening of Italian
  folk music and friendship.” Their concerts feature not only topnotch mu
 sicianship but storytelling that reveals the songs’ backgrounds and even
