SUMMARY:Alla Boara Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary With a Special BOP STOP S
 how
DESCRIPTION:\nFri 10/17 @ 7:30PM\nFive years ago\, one of northeast Ohio’
 s many rising young jazz musicians\, drummer/percussionist Anthony Taddeo\
, came up with a unique idea: using Alan Lomax’s 1954 Smithsonian Folkwa
ys field recordings of nearly extinct regional Italian folk tunes as a bas
eline and giving the music a contemporary twist\, drawing on jazz\, rock a
nd world music. He enlisted other musicians from that talented cohort to f
orm Alla Boara\, who now have two albums out\, a third on the way\, and pl
ans to tour their music more extensively.\nThe band will celebrate its fif
th anniversary with a musical party at the BOP STOP\, with new music\, spe
cial guests and a free glass of prosecco for each concertgoer who is at le
ast 21.\nThe core band includes Taddeo\, guitarist Daniel Bruce\, trumpet
player Tommy Lehman\, bassist Ian Kinnaman\, accordionist/pianist Mark Mic
chelli and vocalist Amanda Powell. They’ll be joined for the evening by
a bevy of special guests: violinist Yaryna Tsarynska\, sax player Chris Co
les\, trumpet player Garrett Folger\, guitarist John Karkosiak\, percussio
nist Patrick Graney\, and vocalist Rachel Osherow.\nThe concert will also
be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Youtube Channel. Get tickets here.\nannivers
