Canton Museum of Art’s Cleveland to Canton Introduces Families to Regional Cultural Offerings

Sat 2/16 @ 5-7PM

The Canton Museum of Art’s event “Cleveland to Canton” aims to introduce families to the wealth of offerings available to them in the region. Organizations such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, Massillon Museum, Canton Palace Theatre, Canton Ballet, Just Imagine Gallery and Stark County Library will be on hand.

Local small businesses will be on hand too, many with hands-on activities for those in attendance. Just Imagine Gallery will be doing live painting demos, Cleveland Street Glass will show how broken windshields can be transformed into wearable art, and the Canton Ceramics Guild will be overseeing make-and-take clay art, one of several such stations. Guests will also be offering Malley’s Chocolates samples, jam and jelly samples from Cleveland’s the Home Pantry, and hot chocolate and coffee from the Carpe Diem Coffee Show.

All the regular exhibits will be open for browsing and in the exhibit Continuum: Art of the Cleveland School and Beyond, some of the artists will be hanging out by their work to talk about it informally and answer questions.

The event is free but registration is required.
