“A Parade of Guitars” at the BOP STOP Raises Money for The Music Settlement

Sun 10/7 @ 7-11PM

Some of Cleveland’s best guitarists in a variety of genres will gather at the BOP STOP for “A Parade of Guitars,” a fundraiser for the BOP STOP’s parent organization The Music Settlement, which just opened its west side campus a few blocks away.

Among the players featured are finger-style acoustic guitarist Vic Samalot whose classical/pop/folk-style music is familiar to patrons of 78th Street Gallery’s Third Fridays; indie-folk artist Derek DePrator, who has navigated some unpredictable territory; acoustic rural/early-blues player Joe Rollin Porter; Alan Grandy, an indie rocker who led bands such as Terrible Parade and Sputnik and played with Jehova Waitresses; and hard rocker Snake Rock whose eponymous band debuted in the late 70s.

Comedian/singer/songwriter Charlie Weiner was scheduled to host, but he’s recovering from a broken hip. He’ll be replaced by veteran Cleveland folksinger Alex Bevan. Admission is $15.
