Four Artists Explore Their Immediate Environment in “Cleveland Front and Seen” at Worthington Yards

Thu 6/28 @ 6-9PM

The new exhibit at the Warehouse district art space in the Worthington Yards apartments features the work of four well-known area artists exploring the world at their own doorstep, looking at the places and faces that make up their daily lives and their neighborhoods.

In Cleveland Front and Seen, painters Tim Callaghan, Hilary Gent and Darius Steward and filmmaker Sarah Paul interpret the theme of this year’s FRONT International Triennial “An American City.” Callaghan is known for his paintings that transform humble neighborhood scenes into oases of peace and beauty. Hilary Gent has recently turned her eyes toward water, how it moves, catches light and changes color. Darius Steward works with people and space, examining the relationship between them. And Sarah Paul fuels her work with her attraction to the Rust Belt.

The show opens with a public reception Thu 6/28 @ 6-9pm and will remain on view through Fri 8/31.
