You may not have heard of Kent quintet Post Saga yet, which is understandable since they’re just a little more than a year old. The indie rockers claim to have roots in jazz, funk, pop and rock & roll, citing artists like Amy Winehouse, Led Zeppelin, Walk the Moon and Snark Puppy as key influences. Mostly, though, they’re high-energy rockers with interesting undertones, with Danna O’Connor layering her take-no-prisoners vocals over the wave of grooving sound.
They’re taking their first big step toward getting their music to a wider audience with an EP, which they’ll introduce at the Beachland Tavern. Cleveland’s Deep Sigh and Fullsend from Columbus open. Admission is $10.
