Kent’s David Mayfield Brings His Bluegrass Parade to Oberlin’s Riverdog Barn

Fri 6/15 @ 7:30PM

David Mayfield comes from a musical family, and he, along with his sister Jessica Lea, grew up playing their family bluegrass band.

Eventually both kids spread their wings and launched their own careers (the parents still perform as a bluegrass duo), exploring other styles of music. Jessica in particular has wandered far afield into indie rock. David has worked extensively with other artists and bands such as Cadillac Sky and has also fronted his own ensemble, the David Mayfield Parade.

But his roots are still in bluegrass and he keeps returning to them. He’ll be doing so when he brings the David Mayfield Bluegrass Parade to the Riverdog Barn in Oberlin. It’s a $15 donation at the door, $5 for students. You are always welcme to bring a cooler and a picnic basket, and Lorenzo’s Pizza will be onsite with their wood-fired pies. To make a table reservation, call 440-935-2248.
