The monthly Brews + Prose events at Ohio City’s Market Garden Brewery generally feature a couple of writers, both local and visiting, sharing their work — sometimes prose, sometimes poetry.
The first event for January is a little bit different, looking back on one of the saddest events to impact Cleveland’s writing community in the last year: the murder of Cleveland.com reporter Nikki Delamotte in November. Hosted by Brews + Prose along with Nikki’s life partner Robert O’Lexa, it will feature tributes from her friends and colleagues, including Ginger Christ, Rachel Dissell, Anne Nickoloff, Annie Zaleski, Rachel Hunt and Brandi McElhatten Woodward, with others to be scheduled.
It’s free, and food and drink will be available for purchase.
