Artists Look at Urban Scenes at the Harris Stanton Gallery in Akron

Complementing the theme of the currently running FRONT International Triennial, “An American City,” Akron’s Harris–Stanton Gallery is mounting a show of the same name An American City: Viewpoints, a Group Exhibition.

 This group show will feature the work of both local and out-of-town artists whose work centers on urban subjects. They work in various media including painting, printmaking, collage and mixed media and include such artists as Avin Hannah Smith, Tom Roese, Guerin Wolf, Maria Zanetta and Alexander Befelein.

The show will open with a free public reception Thu 8/16 @ 5:30-8:30pm. Gallery owner Meg Harris will talk about the show @ 6:30pm. It remains on view through Sat 9/29.
