Photographer Anastasia Pantsios Talks About Her Book on Rock & Roll Women at Visible Voice Books

Sat 6/9 @7:30PM

Come hear photographer Anastasia Pantsios at Tremont’s Visible Voice Books as she shares her experiences shooting some of rock & roll’s most talented women performers, both obscurities and superstars, from the early 70s through the mid ’00s.

Those photos were on display at the rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2011 and 2017 as Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock. That’s also the title of her new book featuring the photos from the exhibit, along with some additional ones — 56 in all from Grace Slick fronting Jefferson Airplane at a free concert in Chicago to Kent’s Jessica Lea Mayfield at the Beachland.

She’ll give a brief talk and sign her books, while Cleveland goth/folk ensemble Morticia’s Chair will play a semi-acoustic set afterward. And Visible Voice sells pastries and liquid refreshment including alcohol, so come out and make a evening of it. It’s free.
