Taste of Autumn Benefits Nonprofit Coit Road Farmers Market

Mon 10/8 @ 6-9PM

Early fall’s the perfect time for a farmers market benefit, with so much of the harvest still coming in. That’s a good reason for the year-round nonprofit Coit Road Farmers Market to hold its annual “Taste of Autumn” event now, as well as to tide it over the slow winter months.

The event, taking place at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Collinwood, centers around a lavish harvest buffet, prepared by a team of local chefs including Frank Iacobucci of Pranzo, Ryan Kaston of Bistro 185, Eric Wells of Skye LaRae’s Culinary Services, the kitchen staff of the Beachland Ballroom, John Selick of Ahuja Medical Center, chef Chandra Morgan-Henley of No Wheat No Worries, personal chef Lisa Pucci Delgado, Andrew Needham from Needham Gardens and Kevin “Spicehound” Scheuring, Coit Market manager.

Although the food is the star, there’ll also be live music by the Collective Express. Money raised benefits both the market and Care-A-Van, which hosts monthly events at the market that include health screenings, cooking demonstrations and community services.

Tickets are $35 in advance $40 at the door.
