Akron Symphony’s Popular “Gospel Meets Symphony” Returns to E.J. Thomas Hall

Sat 2/23 @ 7:30PM

One of the Akron Symphony’s most popular concerts every year is its Gospel Meets Symphony, which features almost 200 local voices drawn from 77 area churches, offering unparalleled community outreach. That’s a lot of people crowded onto the stage at E.J. Thomas Hall, and gives the concert a huge potential audience. And the performers are all ages: The choir includes three generations of the Millirons family: mother Diana Millirons, daughter Tiffany Millirons and grandson Kameron Millirons.

Akron Symphony music director Christopher Wilkins leads the orchestra with Jennifer Mekel Jones directing the choir.

Tickets are $25-$60.

I am so sorry I’m not able to attend the concert with Gospel choice and Symphony tonight. Is there any way this is recorded and a link to connect or is it possible to purchase a recording? Thank you so much.
