Hudson Art Hop Raises Money for the Gathering Place at “Pink-tober”

Fri 10/4 @ 5:30PM

October is usually the perfect month for gallery hops, with weather that’s neither too hot nor too cold, perfect for walking between galleries and contemplating what you might like to buy to liven up your home during the winter months. This month the Hudson Gallery Hop is celebrating “Pink-Tober,” featuring the color pink, a salute to women of strength and a fundraiser for cancer support nonprofit the Gathering Place.

Check in at galleries such as Hudson Fine Art & Framing and the Red Twig to see 8” x 8” paintings by local artists where visitors can buy raffles tickets to vote on their favorites, with winners picked at month’s end. Fair Tade on Main will feature jewelry by Debra Kay; Standing Rock Gallery is showing work by Carrie Smith of Kendall Hills Pottery and owner Deana Boyages is selling hearts to raise money for the Gathering Place. And Uncommon Art Gallery & Studios is honoring female artists with a mixed-media display called “Collage of Friends.”

All events are free and open to the public.
