Chilean Singer/Composer/Guitarist Camila Meza Performs at the BOP STOP

Wed 4/3 @ 7PM

Chilean guitarist/vocalist/composer Camila Meza released her debut album Skylark in 2007, but really started to make a name for herself when she moved to New York from her native Santiago a couple of years later to study at the New School. The 33-year-old musician blends influences from jazz guitarists such as George Benson and Pat Metheny, South American folk music, classic pop songs and rock & roll.

Since then she’s out out three more solo albums, most lately 2016’s Traces, which weaves interpretations of tunes by Chilean composer Victor Jara, Broadway’s Stephen Sondheim and indie/pop producer/songwriter Jon Brion into a tapestry of her own compositions. The busy, productive musician has also just released Ámbar with her Nectar Orchestra Project.

She’s just hit the road, and she’ll be making a tour stop at the BOP STOP. Tickets are $20.
