West Shore Chorale Sings Bernstein & Mozart at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist

Fri 3/1 @ 7:30PM

The West Shore Chorale may not be the best known choral group in Northeast Ohio but it’s been at it quite a while: it was founded in 1968 by a group of Lakewood residents who were passionate about choral music. And it’s been led by conductor John Drotleff for the last 35 of those years, performing nearly 100 concerts of  major choral/orchestral works, plus shorter works on other programs.

The group will be back at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist downtown where it will perform Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and “September Sun,” a piece written by contemorary composer David Conte to honor those who died on 9/11.

The concert is free, and there’s free parking in the Cathedral Garage on Rockwell off East 9th Street.

1007 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
