Herb Ascherman is one of Cleveland’s most noted and accomplished photographers. He’s also a serious student of photographer who has amassed a formidable library of books on the subject, more than 2300.
The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, where he is an archived artist, has organized a tour to his Shaker Heights home to learn about the rare, unusual and intriguing books he’s collected over the past 40 years. He’ll share stories and insights into how his collection came together, and serve coffee and handmade desserts.
The tour is free for AAWR members, $10 for others, and registration is required. Address will be given to registered participants 48 hours before the event.
