Twenty-four-year old pianist Drew Petersen is already well on his way to an illustrious career. He started playing at age 4 and was playing at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall a year later. He graduated cum laude from Harvard at 19 and continued his music studies at Juilliard.

He won the 2017 American Pianists Awards, and he’ll be coming to Cleveland to perhaps inspire other young pianists to perform during the 2018 Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists.

His program at the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Mixon Hall will include Beethoven’s Sonata No. 5, as well as Frédéric Chopin, Charles Tomlinson Griffes and Samuel Barber.

Tickets are $25.
