Trinity Cathedral Starts a New Season of Free Lunchtime Brown Bag Concerts

Wed 10/2 @ noon

Trinity Cathedral’s Brown Bag concerts start their 42nd season this week, again offering one-hour noontime programs of free music, where workers and students in the surrounding Cleveland State campus/Playhouse Square area can come with their lunch, relax and listen to some music: classical, jazz, folk, pop and more.

This week, Cleveland’s Amethyst String Quartet, led by ubiquitous freelance violinist Mary Beth Ions, returns with a program of pieces based on dance music. There’s free parking in the cathedral parking lot off Prospect Avenue and no reservations are required.

Heads up: the Cathedral frequently has a lunch available for purchase during the concerts, but will no do so this week. If you don’t have a lunch on you, Café Ah-Roma and Subway are located downstairs in the building, and Elements Bistro in the next block is offering a 20% discount following the concert (there’s a coupon in the program).
