The Cleveland-based Yellowcake Shop fashion design business started by Valerie Mayen has become known, among other things, for the lavish Hullabaloo party it hosts every year.
All good things must come to an end though, and this year’s Hullabaloo, taking place Sat 11/3, will be the last. It’s fallen victim to Yellowcake’s success: the business has expanded its ready-to-wear and found that producing an event of the scope of Hullabaloo and a new runway collection for it, was straining its resources.
As has become tradition, Yellowcake is hosting a (final) preview party, taking place at Ohio City vintage shop All Things for You. There guests can preview ten designs from the 2018 collection “Sweet Escape,” partake of food, cocktails, beer and wine, enjoy some music and shop Yellowcake products — and pick up tickets for Hullabaloo.
