Chillin’

01.19-01.26.22

Enjoying the snow?

Finally we’re back to a normal NEO winter with snow and sleet and lake effect. Embrace the season at the Mentor Chill Out, swap your old cookbooks at the Countryside Farmers Market, and learn how to cook outside in the winter at the F. A. Seiberling Nature Realm. Now that winter’s finally here, let’s have some fun.We celebrate Cleveland neo-burlesque star Bella Sin, recently named a Top 50 most influential artist, with more to come in the year ahead. Show off your not-so-hidden talents at Jilly’s open jam/mic hosted by Jen Maurer & Mike Lenz.

CityMusic is plowing ahead with their appropriately titled 21-22 season, Justice, Equality, Hope, with two free shows this weekend at the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus & St. Jerome Catholic Church. Dobama’s new show tackles climate change with pointed humor.

Commentator C. Ellen Connally asks if Ohio congressman Jim Jordan, whose snake-like gerrymandered district extends from Lorain County to south of Columbus, could be barred from office. That might put a chill on things.
