Rock Hall Screens Footage of Queen’s 2001 Induction Through Sun 3/10

Through Sun 3/10

Interest in British rockers Queen has exploded since the release of the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody last November, and Rami Malek winning the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the band’s iconic singer Freddie Mercury.

In response to that interest, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is screening uncut footage from Queen’s 2001 induction into the Hall of Fame. It includes the induction presentation by Foo Fighters’ members Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl, Queen members’ acceptance speeches — minus, of course, Mercury, who died in 1991 — and their performances of “We Will Rock You” (with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor handling vocals) and “Tie Your Mother Down” (with Grohl on lead vocals).

The 20-minute clip will be shown in the Foster Theatre during regular Rock Hall hours through Sun 3/10. It’s included in museum admission.
