The Capitol Theatre’s Happy Hour Classic Film Series featuring selections from the American Film Institute’s Greatest 100 Films of All Time continues with #55: the Alfred Hitchcock thriller North by Northwest, celebrating its 60th anniversary.
It stars Cary Grant as a hapless advertising executive, caught up in a network of murderous spies due to a mistaken identity, during which he meets a woman spy who is also not who she appears to be. The film contains several classic scenes, such as the one where Grant’s character us pursued by a crop duster plane, and another where Grant and Saint flee the spies at Mount Rushmore.
The evening starts with a cocktail party from 6-7pm, with live music, appetizers and a mini-cocktail or soft drink included in the film price. The screening starts at 7pm. Tickets are $10.
