Just in time for the holidays, Akron’s Ohio Shakespeare Festival presents the light-hearted comic romance, Shakespeare in Love, based on the Oscar-winning 1998 film.
It tells the entirely fictional story of young playwright Shakespeare, who finds himself inspired to write Romeo and Juliet after he meets and falls in love with the wealthy Viola de Lesseps (a role for which Gwyneth Paltrow won an Oscar), who has been promised by her father to another man.
It runs Thursdays-Saturdays @ 8pm and Sundays @ 2pm through Sun 12/16 at Greystone Hall in downtown Akron. Tickets are $15-$50.
