Hundreds of Cats in One Room at the CFA Cat Show at the IX Center

Sat 10/13 & Sun 10/14

Is your idea of total bliss to be in a room with hundreds of cats — meowing to the left of you, meowing to the right of you? Then head out to the IX Center for the Cat Fanciers’ Association’s (CFA) International cat show.

You’ll be able to admire dozens of exotic breeds — imperious Persians, raffish Scottish folds, elegant Balinese, demanding Siamese, playful Tonks (pictured). Watch as they are judged and ribbons are awarded, even if you have no idea what makes one cat better than the other because they all look great to you.

There’re also education workshops, a “Meow Mall,” where you can purchase lots of cat stuff for you and your cat, kids’ craft activities, a meet-and-greet with some cats, and best of all, an adoption event where rescues will have ordinary cats available to move into YOUR home. Wait … did I say “ordinary” cats? There’s no such thing!

Adult passes are $12; kids’ passes are $6, and parking is free.
