Cuyahoga Community College’s Classical Piano Series presents both name artists and rising. Stars. This Sunday it will present one of the latter when 26-year-old Elliot Wuu takes the stage at the Metro Campus Auditorium.
The California-born musician studied at the Juilliard School where he got his undergraduate and master’s degree. He has been named a young Steinway artist; he was the 2018 Gilmore Young Artist awarded to a pianist 22 and under; and he won the Salon de Virtuosi 2021 Career Grant and Third Prize and the special Mozart Prize in the Cleveland International Piano Competition. He’s already toured internationally in North American, Europe and Asia.
He’ll open Tri-C’s 2025-26 Classical Piano Series with a program that includes Claude Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque; Ludwig van Beethovens’s Sonata No. 3 op. 31 “The Hunt; and four pieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff: Daisies No. 3, Op. 38; Prelude No. 4, Op. 23; Prelude No. 8, Op. 32; and Sonata No. 2.
