The Hooley Brings Irish Hospitality to Kamm’s Corners

Sat 6/10 @ noon-8PM

The annual Hooley captures some of the vibe of the Kamm’s Corners neighborhood where it takes place. Its name comes from an Irish term for party, and the neighborhood has a large Irish population. And the daytime festival is geared toward families and people of all ages, bringing neighbors and visitors together for a good time.

Start with two stages of entertainment including the main stage, which kicks off at noon with a welcome from local officials and a short performance by the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums. Then it starts rocking with LoConti at 12:30, the Danny Shipley Trio at 2:30, Rubix Groove at 4pm and The Sunrise Jones @ 6pm. Over on the family stage, things get in gear at 12:30 with YMCA line dancing, followed by performances from the Tower City Chorus (1pm), O’Malley Irish Dance School (2pm), Burke Irish Dance School (2:30pm), All-American Karate Studio (3pm), YMCA Zumba (3:30pm), Brady Campbell Irish Dance School (4pm), Cannon Irish Dance School (4:30pm) and Fire on Fire (5pm).

There will be food from local vendors, as well as the area restaurants, a beer garden for the grown-ups, vendor booths and artists, and kids’ activities. It takes place on Lorain between Rocky River Drive and West 186th Street. It’s free.
