Summit Metro Parks Hosts Free “Music by the Lake” Concerts

Tue 6/6 @ 7-8PM

There are lots of big, busy outdoor concert event series in northeast Ohio every summer. But if events such as Wade Oval Wednesday are just too overwhelming for you, and you’re looking for more intimate and casual, where you can set up your chair and just relax and breathe in some fresh air, maybe Summit Metro Parks’ Music by the Lake concert series is for you.

On six Tuesdays @ 7-8pm at two different metro park locations, the Metro Parks Ensemble will play a variety of familiar music enjoyable to all ages of listeners: tunes from Broadway musicals, TV shows, kids’ films, marches, big-band tunes and more. Each program will be different. All will be family-friendly.

They’ll play at the Munroe Falls Metro Park Maple Shelter area on June 6, July 11 and August 1, and at the Sherman Shelter area at the Silver Creek Metro Park on June 13, July 18 and August 8.

You can bring a picnic too! And trishaw bikes will be on hand starting at 6pm to bring mobility-impaired listeners to a bench seat. All the concerts are free.
