Beck Center Presents 2005 Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama “Doubt”

Fri 5/26-Sun 6/25

John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Doubt: A Parable debuted in November 2004, addressing a timely topic that was then beginning to roil the Catholic Church: sexual abuse by priests.

But it’s about much more, including different approaches to contested situations and the lengths some will go to be “right.” Set in a Catholic school in the Bronx, it revolves around the conflict between a dogmatically conservative nun and a more open-minded priest and how they deal with an ambiguous situation involving a student.

Beck Center for the Arts will be presenting the play in its Studio Theater from Friday May 26 through Sunday June 25,directed by Don Carrier. It’s recommended for those 14 and up only. Get more information and tickets here.
