Fri 3/24 @ 5-8PM
The Morgan Paper Conservatory’s annual juried exhibition is an opportunity to see what creative people across the country are doing with paper.
The 11th annual exhibition, titled Moments of Transformation,” features 55 pieces by 43 artists from 22 states, chosen from 240 submissions by the jurors: Massillon Museum executive director Alexandra Coon and artist J. Leigh Garcia, assistant professor and co-area head of Print Media & Photography at Kent State University. Each work was required to be at least 50% paper.
The opening reception takes place Friday March 24 @ 5-8pm, when the artists selected by the jurors as Best on Show and Runner Up will be announced and receive cash prizes. At the reception, visitors can vote for the Viewer’s Choice award, which will be announced at the end of the evening. The reception is free and open to all.
The show runs through Friday April 28. The Morgan Gallery hours are 10a-4pm Tuesday-Saturday.
