WRHS History on Tap Celebrates Black Creativity

Dru Christine

Thu 2/23 @ 5-8PM

Here we are again at Black History Month so of course the Cleveland History Center’s History on Tap program is “A Celebration of Black Culture,” with a focus on art.

The evening features food and drink available for purchase, art displays,  displays of item from the center’s collection, and music. DJ 8 Bit will be getting things going at 5, and you can stop at interactive art stations including Mickie McGraw’s art therapy station. Fashion designer Dru Christine will have some of her one-of-a-kind garments on display, and Shantel Rose Miller will be showing her jewelry. There’ll be photography by Emanuel Wallace, Derin Fletcher and Mychal Lilly, as well as from the Cleveland Photo Fest, art from Sankofa Arts and additional artists. They’ll have work for sale too if you’d like to take something home.

The event is free with paid admission. Registration is recommended but not required.
