The DayGloSho, featuring work by area artists made with environmentally friendly paint donated by the Cleveland-based DayGlo paint company, returned to Waterloo Arts in early January to celebrate its 10th year.
The annual show launched in 2012 at Doubting Thomas Gallery in Tremont before moving east to install itself at Waterloo Arts in North Collinwood in 2015. To celebrate the 10th anniversary milestone as well as the 20th anniversary of Waterloo Arts, they asked 25 artists to create party-inspired works made with DayGlo paint.
The show closes this week with one last party, a reception from noon-4pm on Saturday January 28. The gallery is black lit and visitors can pick up special glasses at the door to make the art work in the show jump out at you in 3D. The event is free and open to all.
There’s also a ticketed after party from 6-8pm with food by Rasul Welch of Farmer’s feast. Tickets are $25; go here to get them.
