Kaiser Gallery in Tremont is a lot more than JUST an art gallery. It’s also a cocktail lounge and a social gathering space which presents regular fun evenings featuring poetry open mics, art-making, drag bingo — and tango!
The Cleveland Tango School takes over the third Wednesday of each month with lessons and social dancing, DJs, guest artists, and a fire put out back.
This month is a little different though — and a little extra. Members of the local blues dancing scene will be joining them of offer instruction in Ballroomin’ Blues Dancing from 7:10-7:40pm, following the newbie tango lesson @ 6:30-7. (You even get ten minutes to catch your breath!) After that it’s dancing and socializing and sipping on something from Kaiser Gallery’s cocktail bar in the back of the gallery. You can check out the art too: currently it’s Ethan Samaha’s neon- and sculpture-based Lateral Perspective.
