Cleveland Singer/Songwriter/Keyboardist Anita Keys Celebrates New Album

Sun 12/11 @ 2PM

Singer/songwriter/keyboard player Anita Keys came from a very musical family, and was kicking around the Cleveland music scene playing in cover bands for a couple of decades before coming to a realization many musicians happily do if you’re not going to make a living through music, why not use it to express yourself and satisfy your creative itch?

She started to play out, performing her own material and, in 2011, released her first full-length CD, watertalk, followed by Twenty Twelve in 2013 and Dreamsongs and Misfits in 2014. So it had been a while when she laid down plans to go back in the studio in 2020 and then, you know, the pandemic happened and … anyway, it eventually got recorded long distance with drummer John Scully of Duo Decibel System and engineer/guitarist/drummer Dave Mann of Oberlin’ Mann Wolf Audio.

Now she’s ready to show the album, called 20/20, to the world when she and her band do a matinee release show at the Beachland Tavern this Sunday December 11.
