Akron’s hip Highland Square neighborhood is launching a new tradition this holiday season.
The organization behind Akron’s annual summer Highland Square PorchRokr Festival has joined with annual tree lighting at the American Legion Post to present the first annual Highland Square Holiday stroll.
It starts at 5m with warm drinks and treats in the square, and Akron’s holiday band Missile Toe paying on an outdoor stage at the Mustard Seed from 5-6:15pm. Plan to drop in at some of the area’s businesses, many of which will be offering drink specials, snacks and special holiday deals. If you haven’t been to the area lately, it’s a good time to check it out.
