Akron Symphony Is “Home for the Holidays”

Fri 12/9 @ 7:30PM

It’s that time of the year: serious orchestras take on unserious music in the spirit of the season. And the Akron Symphony Orchestra is no exception, devoting their December concert to a program called “Home for the Holidays.”

The orchestra, the Akron Symphony Chorus and some unrevealed “special guests” will join in playing/singing traditional carols and other “inspiring” songs. You can probably guess the identity of the “special visitor from the North Pole,” though. This is one symphony concert that wont bore the littlest kids.  ASO music director Christopher Wilkins conducts, along with Chris Albanese, director of the chorus.

The concert takes place at University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall. Go here for tickets. (And children under 18 are a mere $15 so you can afford to take the whole family.)
