Holiday Circlefest, which University Circle has been celebrating for nearly three decades, is back this year, offering a variety of outdoor activities on Wade Oval and at the various institutions in the surrounding area.
The skating rink will be open for the entire event with free admission but you must reserve a ticket at universitycircle.org/rink, and there will be food trucks onsite that whole time as well. Mr. Jingeling will be making an appearance from 1-2:30pm, and you can take photos with Santa and Mrs Claus on RTA’s Holiday Trolley from 2-6pm. Ice carvers will be doing their thing from 1-6pm at the top of each hour.
From 1-7pm the outdoor market will be open and horse-drawn carriages will be giving rides around Wade Oval, and Sheela and The Others will be playing holiday tunes and ’60s and ’70s hits throughout the afternoon. Finally, from 5-7pm, as it’s getting dark, there’ll be fire displays and winter lanterns.
There’ll also be special activities, performances and shopping opportunities at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and Cleveland History Center.
