Downtown Lakewood Lights Up with Holiday Celebration

Sat 12/3 @ 4-8PM

Downtown Lakewood will be awash in holiday spirit as it celebrates Light Up Lakewood for the 16th year.

The pre-event programming starts at 11am with performances and “a surprise visitor” at Lakewood Baptist Church until the main event kicks off at 4. That’s when the food trucks assemble, the outdoor vendors market opens for business, DJs start spinning holiday music, Santa begins receiving kids in front of the Lakewood Public Library, and the Roundstone Beer Garden in Detroit Avenue between Belle and Marlowe begins receiving adults. The holiday parade steps from Detroit and Belle at 5pm and heads west.

Then there’s more! The Sellouts perform live from 5:30-8pm at the City Center Main Stage, pausing at 6:30 pm for the tree lighting. And at 7pm — fireworks over Kaufman Park! The event also features a Holiday Train, ice carving, hot cocoa and children’s games. And admission is free.
