English journalist Andrew Morton is known as an expert on celebrities. He’s written nearly 20 books about people such as Tom Cruise, Madonna and Angelina Jolie. But his real specialty is researching and writing about the British royal family, the topic of two-thirds of his books. Starting with Andrew, the Playboy Prince in 1983, he’s written about Sarah Ferguson, Meghan Markle, the relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and her sister Margaret, and four about Princess Diana, which made an even bigger splash when it turned out the subject was cooperating with him.
His new book, The Queen: Her Life, is of special interest given the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 after the longest reign of any British monarch. He’ll talk about that book and the long, eventful life of the Queen when he does a virtual streaming author talk courtesy o the Hudson Library and Historical Society.
