Tennessee-based vocalist/multi-instrumentalist (fiddle, banjo, guitar) Maya de Vitry was a street musician before gaining a wider reputation as a founding member of The Stray Birds, a trio that emerged in 2010 from the members’ acoustic busking, releasing five albums prior to dissolving in 2018.
De Vitry forged onward, dedicating her songwriting and musicianship to producing a solo album in 2019 called Adaptations. It’s since been joined in her catalog by How to Break a Fall and her latest, Violet Light which features a veritable orchestra of guest musicians to enhance her thoughtful songs.
De Vitry will be performing at Riverdog Barn with a band that includes Joel Timmons on guitar and vocals, Ethan Jodzieiwcs on bass and vocals, and Dominic Billett on drums.
