Polka Hall of Fame Hosts Golf Fundraiser

Sun 8/14 @ 11:30AM

The National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame in Euclid is one of Cleveland’s lesser-known treasures, memorializing an era when Cleveland produced a nationally successful polka “rock star” in Frankie Yankovich, and the “happiest sound around” emanated from a neighborhood bars all across the city.

To benefit the Polka Hall of Fame, they’re hosting the 2nd annual Polka Golf Outing at the St. Denis Golf Course in Chardon, a four-person scramble with 18 holes of golf, with a cart, beverage tickets, raffles, goodie bags, hot dogs, snacks and a rib-and-pulled-pork dinner. Live polka music? But of course!

They say, “The course is a pleasure for golfers of any level to play. St. Denis offers you a satisfying challenge in a relaxing, picturesque setting. It’s a great place to improve your game. Plus, you can reenergize with a polka break.”
