Loganberry Books has long held its “Author Alley” events, where literary fans can come and meet numerous authors in the same place (the outdoor space next to the store) on the same day.
Recently, it broke that up into multiple days, each appealing to people with a specific reading interest. So there will be three author alleys this year, starting with the Black, Indigenous & People of Color Author Showcase Saturday August 6. Among the authors who will be selling and signing are Ticana Zhu (Dynasty of Summer fantasy series); James Wingo, (The Manners Playbook); LaBena Fleming (Caregiver to Caregiver; I Love You Always: One Family’s Alzheimer’s Journey); bilingual poet Kamatchi Devi Subramanian (Blank Slate and Moonshine); and children’s author Nikki Gregory. That’s just for a start.
In addition there will be poetry reading on the LitArts stage throughout the event.
On Saturday August 13, the event will host fiction writers, followed on Saturday August 20 with an afternoon devoted to nonfiction. In case of bad weather, the events will take place inside the store.
