Learn Why Pollinators Are Important & How to Attract Them

Sat 8/20 @ 11AM

Two local groups dedicated to helping to build a stronger, healthier food system in Cleveland are hosting the monthly Climate Change Speaker Series, presented by the Cleveland Seed Bank and taking place a Cleveland Roots, a local food hub & grower, located at 3257 West 41st Street in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood.

This month’s topic is “Attracting Pollinators to Your Garden.” Judy Semroc of Nature Spark, a former science teacher who specializes in conservation issues, will explain how pollination works, why it matters, and what you should plant and how you should arrange your garden to attract pollinators. If there’s enough time, she’ll take the group outside to see pollinators at work.
