Joe Walsh Reunites James Gang, NIN, Black Keys, Breeders, Dave Grohl for Vets

Sun 11/13

Joe Walsh is reuniting the original James Gang members Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters, and bringing together an all-Ohio superbill to support veterans’ rights and services.

Walsh created the organization VetsAid in 2017, and since then it has raised over $2 million for organizations supporting veterans and their families. All proceeds from this concert will go directly to veterans services.

In addition to the James Gang reunion, which Walsh says will be their “final performance,” the concert will feature Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor formed the band in Cleveland), the Black Keys (from Akron), the Breeders (from Dayton) and Dave Grohl, who grew up in Warren.

“It all started in Ohio,” Walsh said. “Picking up my first guitar as a kid in Columbus set me on a musical journey to Kent State, Cleveland and then the world. Now it is a great privilege and humbling opportunity for me to share the stage once again with my original James Gang buddies and with this absolutely incredible group of Ohio rock legends like Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, the Black Keys, the Breeders and Dave Grohl. I believe in Ohio and look forward to celebrating our musical legacy while honoring our veterans with VetsAid 2022.”

The all-star concert takes place on November 13 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
