Tremont’s little convergence-continuum theater continues its 2022 with yet another offbeat play with a gay theme. Topher Payne’s Angry Fags revolves around gay men in politics. In it, a man who’s recently broken up with his boyfriend and moved in with his best friend serves as a speechwriter or a gay candidate in the midst of a mud-slinging campaign Georgia. When his ex is attacked outside a gay bar & he finds it can’t be classified as a hate crime in Georgia, he & his friend realize it’s time for some extreme action of their own.
The play opens on Friday July 8 at c-c’s home, the Liminis, and runs Thursday-Saturday @ 8pm through July 30. Tickets are $10-$23. Get them here.
