PHOTOSTREAM: Willott Iris Garden @ Rockefeller Greenhouse by Anastasia Pantsios

05.12.2022 Willott Iris Garden @ Rockfeller Greenhouse

Hundred of varieties of irises are now in bloom at Rockefeller Greenhouses Willott Iris Garden, named after Jack & Dorothy Willott who started the project, now maintained by a handful of devoted volunteers. The irises come in a profusion of sizes, shapes and colors, ranging from snowy white to dark purple to bright yellow to delicate pink, with some featuring more than one color. Different varieties bloom at different times in the spring from March-June so there’s still time to get down and see this spectacular garden. Admission is free, and you can visit the Greenhouse and other specialty gardens as well.

So beautiful and delicate and right in our own back yard. After winter dulldrums this is definitely a place to visit to help spike up our senses and give a boost to mental wellbeing!
