Crafty Mart Launches a New Crop of Makers

Sat 5/21 @ noon-4PM

Like the Cleveland Bazaar in Cleveland, Akron’s Crafty Mart hosts a series of markets throughout the season. It also has an incubator curriculum called Maker Sessions, which teaches beginning makers and artisans how to turn their creativity into a viable business, through things such a brand building, creating a website, product photography, business financing and more.

Its Maker Session Launch Market is the capstone project for the course, where the vendors get to meet the public. It takes place this Saturday May 21, at Crafty Mart’s Carbon Black space inside Bounce Innovation Hub in downtown Akron. In addition to all sorts of delectable things from creative makers jut getting started in the maker market circuit, there’ll be food from Stray Dog Café and Kinetic Vegan, drinks from 4 Bros & A Sis Lemonade, music, and make-and-take crafts. Admission is free.
