The Humane Society of Summit County is throwing a big party in downtown Akron and you (and your dog) are invited.
Bark in the Park at Lock 3 features more than 80 vendors, including food, pet-related vendors and other community businesses, food trucks, a beer garden, raffles and giveaways, live entertainment, a dog agility demo, a police K9 demo, and contests you can enter your own dog in.
After the welcome ceremony at 11am, there’ll be a blessing of the animals @ 11:30 and the Rescue Walk stepping off at noon. And yes, there will be adoptable animals there at the Mobile Adoption Center so if you’re looking for a companion they can take care of you. All proceeds go to benefit the HSSC’s rescue and rehoming efforts.
