Outlab Brings Experimental Jam Session Back to the BOP STOP

Tue 1/18 @ 8-11PM

The BOP STOP devotes one Tuesday evening a month to spontaneous sounds on the cutting edge. That’s when it hosts its monthly Outlab: Experiments in Improvised Music for musicians and fans into experimental music.

Musicians of all levels of experience and skill — and an adventurous spirit—  are invited to come down and bring musical instruments or any sound-making device (drums and keyboard are provided but bring your own amp if you need one) to join in a collective group improvisation.

They don’t have “rules” — it’s freeform, after all — but the do have suggested “guidelines”: “1) to direct our explorations along the most productive and positive lines, and 2) to engage the widest possible variety of individuals from Greater Cleveland’s rich and diverse music scenes.”

It’s free although donations will be gratefully accepted. All participants must show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test.
