The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is offering an added inducement to visit on Thanksgiving weekend — as if one were needed at this particularly busy time. It’s paying tribute to Florida rocker Tom Petty, who passed in 2017, with its Tom Petty Fan Weekend.

In honor of the international release of the new documentary, Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of Wildflowers, about his 1994 solo album Wildflowers, the Rock Hall is debuting a new exhibit focusing on this album. It includes handwritten lyrics to the songs, instruments used at the sessions and costumes worn on the subsequent tour.

The Rock Hall will also be showcasing video footage of iconic moments from his long and fruitful career. Petty’s music will be played at the top of each hour on the Rock Boxes around downtown Cleveland and inside the museum itself.
