Concert Photographers Joe Kleon & Anastasia Pantsios Host Big One-Day Show & Sale

Sat 11/27 @ noon-6PM

Northeast Ohio music photographer Joe Kleon and Anastasia Pantsios have made a tradition of doing a joint photo show/sale in the late fall, just in time for holiday shopping. Together they’ve photographed virtually every music act worth shooting —and some who aren’t!

This year’s show is called Sonic and Iconic: Midwest Magic, taking place at the Beachland Ballroom one day only Saturday November 27 @ noon-6pm. There you’ll find more than 1,000 images — many never seen before — with an emphasis on artists who broke out of the region or played the type of blue-collar rock Clevelanders loved: Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Rush, Bob Seger, J. Geils, Southside Johnny, David Bowie, and of course, Michael Stanley. Anastasia shot dozens of shows and other band-related events during the MSB years and Joe served as Michael’s official photographer for the last 20, so they’ve got shots no one else has — and more of them. They’ll have a huge selection on them available for purchase and they’ll be screening a slide show of some of Joe’s best Michael Stanley images.

The Beachland bar and kitchen will be open and so will their downstairs shop This Way Out, if you’d like to grab some vintage records and Beachland merch while you’re there. Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band will be playing that evening, so come browse the photos, go grab some dinner and come back for some sunny, upbeat reggae music.

This is Anastasia and Joe’s first live show in two years, due to you-now-what. Last year, they did an entire live show they dubbed “Sonic & Iconic” and set up an online gallery for purchases. For those who can’t make it down, that gallery is still live and they’re adding new images regularly. Check them out here.

More info about Midwest Magic here. Admission is free.

My two favorite photographers together in one room, what could be better!!! Time to get lost again in the magic of what these two very gifted and talented artists have captured while looking through their lenses to take us back to the memories we cherish of the people that have brought our lives such joy through their music 🎼 🎶
